Cartonman, Cartonman, he’s what others throw away! The world’s first recycled superhero entered the stage roughly some ten years ago, but never gets old. And he never dies. You can punch him forever in his carton ribs, he’ll get reconstructed from leftover boxes in no time. Save the city from tools! Save the city from cakes!

Cartonman is the all-in-one superhero of this day and age. Biodegradable, recyclable, invincible, hyper sexy. And, since he is a french robot: He can dance the funky carton dance. Yes, that’s about it. What’s sad about it: He requires Shockwave to save cities and be recycled, which is a file format that itself is not really recyclable and most likely not biodegradable and will give you sad headaches on almost every modern personal computer. Office. A place of productivity, social interaction. And, as all of you know who are forced by sardonic co-workers to read the newest “Dilbert” at lunch break and accordingly ROFL out of politeness not to fall prey to office mobbing, a terrible wasteland of souls, hell.

David Rees however hits the office world at its soft spot: business presentations. He took the clip arts from productivity enhancing management pamphlets and created My new filing technique is unstoppable . Fight the file cabinet from 1992 with your more or less productive young man from 1990! Collect business ammo, and fend off the Henderson, Eagleson, Masterson and Anderson files while listening to funky muzak!

Yes, hello. Good to see you, actually. Yes, I’ll make this quick. Like any educated and properly socialised member of the web 2.0, I hereby make my mission statement as the first post on this platform. Bullet point style.

What I want you to expect here:

computer games from a different point of view
an eclectic selection, ranging from high rated indie games to 90s shareware trash
NOT “are computer games art?”, because they are
meta levels unlocked
few words, but those directly into the eye of the beholder
my personal interpretation forced upon unsuspecting mass media

And while the halls of my unmodified wordpress theme still echo with the applause of that one guy, I am already preparing my first exposure. Stay tuned!
